Tune In to the Live Live Interviews
Noncommercial Community Radio Show Offers in-Depth Interviews with Local and Nationally Recognized Musicians

Live Live (pronounced "Liv Live") is proud to offer our second installment in an ongoing series of live interviews with some of the most noteworthy musicians on the live circuit today. The Live Live interview archive is available on or website, http://homer.etree.org/livelive. Our interviews are available for download, free of charge, in .mp3 format.

Live Live's second round of interviews features candid and enlightening conversations with members of several nationally recognized musical acts, including Galactic, The Motet, Uncle Sammy, the Mad Dog Trio, Townhall, Zox, and Michael Franti and Spearhead. We are also very proud to offer interviews with the best in Boston's local music scene, including interviews and live performances from singer-songwriter Ryan Montbleau, up-and-coming groove ensemble The Burn, and a special live broadcast archive of Geoff Scott's Altitude Music, featuring musicians from the Miracle Orchestra, Club D'Elf, and more. We also offer our past interviews with Bay Area rockers Tea Leaf Green, members of the very funky Addison Groove Project, the catchy tunes of Pete Pidgeon and Arcoda, and the live trance ensemble Nikulydin.

In addition to comprehensive, in-depth discussion with the band, the Live Live interviews also feature exclusive live in-studio performances, as well as recorded live performances from the bands' archives.

While most band interviews adhere to strict time and print space limits, the Live Live interviews can contain up to two hours of high quality material, providing fans with a wealth of content not possible elsewhere. The Live Live interviews are sure to appeal to both the casual listener and the serious music enthusiast. These interviews probe beyond a set of stock questions and prepared answers; they give fans and listeners a deeper insight into the musicians interviewed, as well as their art.

In addition to our archived interviews, Live Live offers thoughtful, comprehensive reviews of selected concerts, including many of our featured musicians, as well as the Yonder Mountain String Band, Vida Blue, Aimee Mann, Phix, and Gov't Mule.

We at Live Live are looking forward to providing more quality content for the live music community in the coming weeks and months. We strive to bring the highest quality content directly from the musicians to their fans, and will continue to bring our listeners the best in live music from Boston and beyond.

About Live Live:

Live Live is a weekly radio show and website based in Boston, MA. We are created, produced, and staffed entirely by volunteers. Our mission is to celebrate and encourage the live music experience and foster the community that develops around live music. We aim to expose our audience to music that they might not otherwise find on an increasingly homogenized radio dial. We prefer to focus on the success of the artist rather than the industry of packaging and distribution; to bridge the gap between artist and audience without losing the message under a blanket of corporate policy or play lists. In terms of live music, Live Live puts the media back in control of the people.

Live Live is broadcasted on Allston-Brighton Free Radio (www.abfreeradio.org), a public, noncommercial radio station in Boston. We believe that community radio is a viable, relevant, and underutilized tool with which to spread the message and moment found within live music. Being affiliated with A-B Free holds several advantages for Live Live as a music resource and for the musicians we support:
--We are a viable alternative media source situated in a crucial music market
--We are free to play music that most radio stations will not play (i.e. music by local, unsigned, and independent artists, as well as music deemed not "radio friendly")
--We are aware of, support, and further the street-level "word-of-mouth" approach to promotion and advertising
--We are widely and easily distributed, FREE to the artist, and FREE to the public
