The Live Live February Ticket Giveaways
Looking for FREE tickets to the most anticipated shows in the Northeast this season? Local noncommercial radio has your Miracle...

Live Live (pronounced "Liv Live"), a weekly noncommercial radio program based in Boston, MA, is joining forces with Gamelan Productions just in time to be swept away in "The Return of El Nino", Gamelan's spectacular winter concert series. Over the next three weeks on Live Live, pairs of tickets will be given away during the show for each of these four special live music events to take place in February at the Palladium in Worcester, MA:

Tuesday, February 11th: Soulive and the Steve Kimock Band (Feb. 15)
Tuesday, February 18th: Addison Groove Project and The New Deal (Feb. 21)
Tuesday, February 18th: Yonder Mountain String Band with support from the Tony Trischka Band (Feb. 22)
Tuesday, February 25th: Sound Tribe Sector 9 with support from Granola Funk Express (Feb. 26)

You can tune into Live Live at 1670 AM in the Boston area and www.abfreeradio.org on the web every Tuesday night at 10pm.

More information about the Live Live February Ticket Giveaways is available on our website: http://homer.etree.org/livelive. On our website, you will also find thought-provoking reviews of several of these featured bands, as well as high-quality band interviews available for free download in .mp3 format. Our interviews probe beyond a set of stock questions and prepared answers; they give fans and listeners a deeper insight into the musicians interviewed, as well as their art.

This partnership between Gamelan and Live Live brings you closer to the bands you love, and it is a crucial step forward for independant organizations in our live music community. We encourage you to take part in this movement, support quality independant music resources, and have the chance to see the bands you love for FREE!

For further questions, contact Colin Ovitsky, Gamelan's Production Manager and Grassroots Coordinator at colin@gamelan.tv, or by phone at 781-893-8818.

About Live Live:

Live Live is a weekly radio show and website based in Boston, MA. We are created, produced, and staffed entirely by volunteers. Our mission is to celebrate and encourage the live music experience and foster the community that develops around live music. We aim to expose our audience to music that they might not otherwise find on an increasingly homogenized radio dial. We prefer to focus on the success of the artist rather than the industry of packaging and distribution; to bridge the gap between artist and audience without losing the message under a blanket of corporate policy or play lists. In terms of live music, Live Live puts the media back in control of the people.

Live Live is broadcasted on Allston-Brighton Free Radio (www.abfreeradio.org), a public, noncommercial radio station in Boston. We believe that community radio is a viable, relevant, and underutilized tool with which to spread the message and moment found within live music. Being affiliated with A-B Free holds several advantages for Live Live as a music resource and for the musicians we support:
--We are a viable alternative media source situated in a crucial music market
--We are free to play music that most radio stations will not play (i.e. music by local, unsigned, and independent artists, as well as music deemed not "radio friendly")
--We are aware of, support, and further the street-level "word-of-mouth" approach to promotion and advertising
--We are widely and easily distributed, FREE to the artist, and FREE to the public
